Review highlights
Based on 224 reviewsSsada Gimbab Dongdaemun is widely recognized for its convenient 24-hour service, making it a popular choice for late-night dining in Seoul. Customers appreciate the affordability and variety of menu options, especially the well-liked kimbap and vegetarian-friendly dishes. The restaurant enjoys strong local patronage, indicating its appeal among residents. Quick service and complimentary side dishes such as kimchi and pickled radish enhance the overall experience. However, some feedback notes that while the food is consistently good, certain items like soups can be average, and ingredient quality may vary compared to other establishments. Overall, Ssada Gimbab is favored for its accessibility, value, and satisfying Korean comfort food staples.
If you’re looking for a bite late at night, this place is a solid option. The food is good and definitely edible, making it worth considering when hunger strikes after hours. Prices are reasonable, though more tailored to tourists—you might find cheaper spots with better ingredients elsewhere. That being said, it still earns 5 stars for its unbeatable convenience. Being open 24 hours in a prime location is a big plus, especially when few other places are available. Oh and you get free soup and side dishes too. The staff may not be the friendliest toward tourists, which could be due to the language barrier. Fortunately, ordering at the self-serve machine is straightforward, and you can track your order number easily. Overall, a reliable option for a quick, no-frills meal any time of day!
Good food and quick service. It was packed with Koreans.l the whole time we were there. The locals seem to love this little place
The omelette rice was great as a vegetarian however some locations put ham in it so just make sure to ask. Food was cheap and my friends who eat meat really loved all the other dishes too.
So delicious! One of the best tuna kimbap that I’ve had. Tofu soup was very light and delicious.
A super chain restaurant for a cheap meal! Quick and tasty. The soups are quite average(don’t recommend) The kimbap is great, You can get a small soup, kimchi, daikon, and other side dishes for free, sometimes even sausages!
Sundubu set is like a comfort food for me, enormous tofu with clam-shrimp-crap. Together with fried shrimps are perfect. The owner is nice, cannot speak English but trying to help. I haven’t known that Sundubu comes as a set with rice and seaweed. I then add more to make it a set on my own. I didn’t ask for the redemption because I haven’t known at first, but the owner give the money back anyway. Motherhood is so nice Definitely come back for sure
